If you are in Maui with your family and want to visit a child friendly beach, baby beach is the place to visit. Baby beach Maui can be confusing for visitors as there are two baby beaches in Maui. One beach is on the northern western part of Maui island called Baby Beach Lahaina. While the other is on the northern part, called Baby Beach, Sprecklesville Area.

In this post, we are discussing about Baby Beach, Sprecklesville Area. It became famous as a favourite destination for kids in Maui because of the dead reefs which limit the pressure of strong currents reaching the beach and making it safe for moms, kids and children. Hence, you will find a lot of families with kids here.

Baby Beach in the Sprecklesville Area is very close to Maui Airport and 12 mins drive. It is mostly visited by locals with their dogs. Therefore, sometimes you may see lot of friendly dogs and smell dog poop around. It is a public beach and free, but does not have any showers, lifeguards or change rooms. It is advised to bring tissue rolls if you plan to spend time here.

There is no doubt its a very beautiful beach and ideal place for bathing and swimming activities for kids and adults. Some parts of the beach may be difficult for swimming because of the dead reefs which are sharp and can cause a body cut. Its not a beach for snorkelling as water is murky here and hard to see within.

Sometimes the wind can be very strong and make it only suitable for walking on the red clay.

You will see turtles quite often, as this beach is a hidden gem for tourists in Hawaii and less crowded. However, it has started to get famous and parking can be a problem in peak season. Some people go to Baldwin beach ,when they fail to find the parking place next to this one.
