Starting around 500$, a couple can travel to Lanai from certain airports in Oahu, Maui and Hawaii. You can contact the resorts representatives to check about the possibilities to have a private plane.

You can also travel to Lanai by ferry from Maui, which is the only way to reach by water. The ferry covers a distance of 9 miles in around 50 mins. Rates can vary from $20 to $30 for one way journey. If are you are travelling by ferry between Maui and Lanai, in any of these months (December, January, February and March), you will experience watching whales and spinner dolphins as well. Otherwise you might have to book separate tours for whale watching.
